Kristen and Alec | Skansonia Ferry Wedding | Navy, Gold and Pink Wedding | Seattle Wedding Planner
I am so pleased with how this beautiful navy and blush wedding turned out on the Skansonia Ferry in Seattle this past September. What a glorious sunny day we were blessed with while guests embarked on this historical Seattle wedding venue. Docked right on the shores of Lake Union, the Skansonia is a hidden gem boasting panoramic views, warm wood tones, and mis-matched tables to add to its' charm. This wedding was not an easy one to plan. You'll notice in the original inspiration board at the bottom of this post, the Bride (and her Mother) were going to take this in a little different direction. It wasn't until after the mockup on the ferry (included in our "Day-of" with Design Assistance package) that we ended up using the navy linens with the gold chargers. The richness of the navy linens with the wood brought in the elegance the Mother of the Bride was after, while letting the bright pop of the pink flowers really showcase themselves and bring in the brightness that the Bride was after.
Through many emails and discussions about changing the color palette completely, as well as the style of the wedding, I was finally able to convince the Mother of the Bride to stick to her decision with these colors, and I'm so glad she did! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, and neither could she.
