Maggie and Brian | Fremont Foundry Wedding | Modern Romance Wedding | Seattle Wedding Planner

Why is it important to hire an experienced, professional team of wedding vendors?  For weddings like these.

If you're from Seattle you may remember that *crazy* windstorm we got smack in the middle of summer?  This was that day.  Upon driving to the venue, I encountered a down tree across I-5 and downed power lines across Hwy 99, only to arrive to Fremont Foundry that had no power.  Since we had access early enough before guests arrival, all of the vendors went along their way setting up as normal.  It was about an hour out that we started getting worried.

Pulling together our professional efforts, I am proud to say we pulled it off!  Crimson Haze drove home to get more of their battery-powered LED's to light the way for guests, the venue brought out every additional candle they had to light the stairwell and catwalk, and Lisa Dupar got an emergency delivery of a generator, propane grill, and tent for their chefs to be able to begin cooking the meal, and one of the groomsmen happened to have a generator for us to be able to provide ceremony mic and music support.

Guests were none-the-wiser as they arrived and went upstairs to the penthouse (which had tons of natural light with floor to ceiling windows) for the ceremony.  About mid-way through the wedding ceremony, the power came back on!  It was then business as normal as we transferred everything back into the kitchen for the catering staff to be able to get caught up.

What an absolutely stunning wedding this turned out to be!  Maggie was gorgeous in her handmade wedding dress made by her mother, and Brian was dashing in his suit.  The decor was modern and eclectic, and fit them perfectly!  The florals were set in geometric gold vases with romantic flowers and mosses dripping out.

The day was full of personality and fun with pies, a cocktail hour accordion player, bridal party lip sync during the recessional, slideshow of the proposal, masks, antlers, unique table numbers and dancing the night away!

Thank you Maggie and Brian for allowing me to be a part of your amazing wedding day!
