Knot-so Average Nuptials: A Wedding Planners Take of Magical Mayhem at the Woodmark Hotel
In the wild world of wedding planning, there are some love stories that just make your heart do a happy dance. Enter Steph & Rob, the dynamic duo with a romance that blossomed later in life. As their trusty wedding planner, I found myself knee-deep in confetti, face paint, and a magician with more tricks up his sleeve than a rabbit in a hat. Join me on this rollercoaster ride of hilarity and heartfelt moments at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland!
Location, Location, Location - Let me tell you, planning a wedding at the Woodmark Hotel is like trying to choose your favorite flavor of ice cream – impossible! The lakeside setting had romance written all over it, and we were about to turn this place into the epicenter of a family warmth & fun. This is one of my favorite hotels to work at! Gorgeous setting, great staff & a magical environment!
The Merging of Families - Weddings with children from previous relationships are always so heartfelt & sentimental. When Steph & Rob said "I do," it wasn't just about the two of them. Oh no, we were merging families & wanted to be sure the girls were involved. From a sand ceremony during the ceremony with the kids & couple to bringing in surprise entertainment to on-site babysitters. The kiddos at this wedding had an EPIC time!
During cocktail hour we surprised children of all ages with Face Painting fun, a balloon artist & a slight of hand magician roaming & entertaining all guests!
Surprise, Surprise - Confetti Chaos! What's a wedding without a little unexpected chaos, right? We kicked off open dancing with a confetti cannon much to everyones surprise & delight. The look on everyone's faces was priceless - like a deer caught in the headlights, but with confetti.
The surprises kept coming with a performance on his electric guitar from Rob to Steph- she had NO IDEA he had been practicing! We snuck in the guitar earlier in the night, hid it behind the DJ table & out it came at the perfect moment surrounded by a packed dance floor.
Not only that, but we had an interactive Whiskey Bar complete with on-site cedar chip smoking!
As the last speck of confetti settled, and the face-painted smiles beamed into the night, I couldn't help but think, "This was one for the books." Steph & Rob's wedding at the Woodmark Hotel was a masterpiece of love, laughter, and a touch of magic – the kind only a seasoned wedding planner can conjure. And as I packed up my binder and confetti, I couldn't help but thank God for yet another knot tied, memories made, and a job well done. After all, who said planning weddings can't be the greatest show on earth?

Review from Steph & Rob: ‘When my husband and I choose Rebecca’s “Jesus Take the Wheel” Package, little did we know that this woman was the holy trinity herself! Rebecca was instrumental in helping us realize the the wedding that represented our family & vision for “I do”. She acted as both planner extraordinaire, and supportive therapist. Whilst still managing to see around corners of what may go wrong! Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her steady hand, creative eye and overwhelming amount of experience.’
