Elevated Elopement Vendor Introduction | Seattle Elopement Planner | Micro Wedding Seattle
Wedding vendors… we are a special breed. It takes a pretty special person to be able to handle the emotional roller coaster that is a wedding while being fun and upbeat. Don’t be surprised to catch all of us on wedding day in your photo booth together or dancing like goofballs in the corner, all while being completely sober!

As vendors, we get to spend a lot of time together on wedding days, through out planning and have become friends in the process. Over the next couple of weeks we will introduce you to each of our Elevated Elopement vendor partners and ask them a few questions to give you opportunity to get to know them a little better beyond what is on their website and help show why we think they are pretty awesome people.
Let’s get to know Jenn Tai of Jenn Tai Photo Artistry!
1) What got you started in photography?
I got started a good 20+ years ago as a journalist! As for my life as a wedding pro, it was in 2007 when we'd moved from Malaysia to Seattle. Can't believe it's been 13 years.
2) Favorite thing you have made/done for a client?
There are always some favorite images but it's hard to pick after so long. Probably the ones that elicit emotions. I've attached a few of my all-time favs.
3) In all your years in business, what is your favorite memory from a past event?
So many, but most have to do with really down-to-earth celebrations like this camping-themed wedding I shot at Camp Moran a couple of years ago. There was square dancing and lots of unique details. Just love it when our couples get creative but also authentic with who they are, injecting their personalities into their celebration.
4) We all have crazy creative ideas in our heads. What are some things you'd love to do at a wedding if you were given full creative control?
Wow, this would need a few pages LOL. Frankly, I'd love to see a couple give vendors full creative control with just an idea in their heads! A bride sounded out a WWII era themed wedding recently and I think that would've been kind of amazing to see what you guys come up with given the chance. For me, I am just there to document!
5) What was your dream job as a kid?
Not to sound cliched, but this. Or more specifically a photojournalist! So kinda sorta.
6) Any hidden talents you or your team has (other than being a wedding super star!)?
Apparently, I am quite a good cook, although I don't really enjoy it. My true hidden superpower is my laugh LOL.
7) Wildcard option... tell us anything else you would like someone to know!
I am multilingual! I speak English, Malay, Cantonese and Mandarin. I also wanted to be a professional linguist or translator once. Maybe there's still time.
