Elevated Elopement Vendor Introduction | Seattle Elopement Planner | Micro Wedding Seattle
Wedding vendors… we are a special breed. It takes a pretty special person to be able to handle the emotional roller coaster that is a wedding while being fun and upbeat. Don’t be surprised to catch all of us on wedding day in your photo booth together or dancing like goofballs in the corner, all while being completely sober!
Robbie Christmas
As vendors, we get to spend a lot of time together on wedding days, through out planning and have become friends in the process. Over the next couple of weeks we will introduce you to each of our Elevated Elopement vendor partners and ask them a few questions to give you opportunity to get to know them a little better beyond what is on their website and help show why we think they are pretty awesome people.
Let’s get to know Robbie Christmas!
1) What got you started playing music?
I got started performing and playing music when I was 12 years old. I sang a solo in my school choir in front of a crowd of my family and friends. I went home knowing exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I have been playing guitar and singing ever since.
2) Favorite thing you have made/done for a client?
I wrote and recorded a song for a very special client's wedding that they could dance to for their first dance. It was one of the proudest moments of my life.
3) In all your years in business, what is your favorite memory from a past event?
Two memories: One (unrelated to weddings) was performing the National Anthem for the Seahawks. The second was performing one of my favorite love songs "Love of my Life" by Queen for a couple walking down the aisle in Chelan. Washington overlooking the lake. It was 80 degrees and beautiful. It was the perfect day.
4) We all have crazy creative ideas in our heads. What are some things you'd love to do at a wedding if you were given full creative control?
It's hard to complain. I love what I do. There aren't many things I'd change. I love giving the client control of what they'd like to see and hear from me. But if I could pick one thing, I would say that if I were given creative control, I would hire someone like Eric Clapton to perform an acoustic version of "Wonderful Tonight" as a surprise for a couple's first dance. So if you have connections to Eric, let me know!
5) What was your dream job as a kid?
I'm living it! Being a singer-songwriter! I'm so lucky to do this full time for a living!
6) Any hidden talents you or your team has (other than being a wedding super star!)?
I'm oddly good at filming, video editing and axe throwing. The latter I didn't realize until I went to an axe throwing bar in Captiol Hill.
7) Wildcard option... tell us anything else you would like someone to know!
I am dedicated to making my wedding clients perfect day dream come true. And I love seeing the look on their faces when I get to play their favorite song! Also, my favorite song is "Layla" by Derek & The Dominoes.
